Meditation in Utrecht
The goal of Buddhism is a state of lasting, unconditional happiness known as enlightenment.
To bring us to this state, Buddhism points us to lasting values in this impermanent world, and gives us valuable information about how things really are. Through understanding the law of cause and effect, using practical tools like meditation to gain insight and develop compassion and wisdom, we — all of us — can tap into our potential to realize the ultimate goal of enlightenment.
The center in Utrecht exists since the end of 1999 and originated from the Buddhist Center Amsterdam. Our meditations are freely accessible and on every Tuesday evening an introduction is provided for newcomers.
In addition, we regularly organize lectures that focus on various topics about Buddhism in general and Diamond Way Buddhism in particular. Diamond Way Buddhism is characterized by a modern, non-sentimental style and a practical application of Buddha’s highest teaching in our daily lives.
In addition to the fixed meditation program, we also occasionally organize other activities. New people are always welcome to participate. Mail us if you want to be kept informed of our local program.
You are most welcome to join!
